Evening All

We are busy finalising next year’s line up and over the next 8 weeks we should have everyone announced and we thank you for your patience during this period. To give some perspective tonight’s announcement includes 27 acts out of over 200 appearing across our stages in 2019. All our stages are returning as before i.e. Pallet, Woodland, Magical Sounds, Maui Waui, Showcase, Convoy Cabaret, Rogues Hideout, Something Else Tea Tent and a proper home for the brilliant Alpaca Sound System.

FESTIVAL UPDATE

Our new area is coming along very nicely with the Pen and Parchment marquee joining us which will showcase comedy, spoken word, band interviews, magicians and charity tent talks from the festivals chosen 2019 charities.

Bearded Theory

Swamp Trash will be operating a large seated circus performing “Party of Frogs” daily. The show includes street dance, tumbling, chair balancing, masked dance, juggling, extreme limbo, fire, aerial ballet, trapeze and live music. The Swamp Trash marquee will also be showcasing workshops and theatre productions.

Bearded Theory

Gates open at 9am on the Thursday next year and all campervan/caravan pitches have been marked out in advance. You will then be accredited after you have been parked up. We now have below 500 campervan/caravan passes left available to purchase. The monthly payment plan is available until the end of the year to spread the cost of Adult and Teen tickets over 5 months (including the initial deposit).

PALLET STAGE NEWS

Bearded Theory

This is what we can tell you for now; after a few years in pursuit we have finally secured alternative rock act, SUEDE to headline Friday night and they will be joined by rock band WILDHEARTS, reggae act HOLLIE COOK and electric indie 3-piece PATTERN PUSHER who open the day. 4 more acts to be announced including the second and third billing.

On the Saturday, the top 4 acts are still being finalised but indie rock act REEF, young punk band HEAVY LUNGS, “older” punk act ANGELIC UPSTARTS, folk band ORPHAN COLOURS and funk collective the WINACHI TRIBE who open the day.

Sunday we are finalising 4 acts but delighted to announce reggae legends STEELPULSE, rock band THE BLINDERS, comedy folk band LANCASHIRE HOTPOTSand electronic indie band BILK who open the day.

WOODLAND STAGE NEWS

Bearded Theory

Friday night we have a joint headline show which will delight the festivals punk fans which is being worked on currently and will be announced later. The stage will also host New Model Army front man JUSTIN SULLIVAN, Psychedelic punks SUNSHINE FRISBEE LASERBEAM, folk band the NEWCRANES, ska bandSOCIAL IGNITION and ska punk act LONGY & THE GOSPEL TRASH.

Saturday we are working on the top 4 positions, but we are delighted to announce punk act LADYBIRD, festival favourites THE BLUNDERS, folk band HEADSTICKS, indie act BROKEN BONES MATILDA and folk singer REV HAMMER.

Sunday we are delighted to announce ska reggae act the SKATALITES headline, folk punk acts the DREADNOUGHTS, ska band IMPERIAL LEISURE, indie band THE LOTTERY WINNERS, rock band LUCIA, folk band BEMIS and pop band INDIGO VELVET.

NATIONAL COACH TRAVEL

We are pleased to announce National Express will be providing travel to and from Bearded Theory from 16 locations in 2019. Coach travel will be available from Manchester, Stockport, Stoke-on-Trent, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Derby, London, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Leicester, Bristol, Cheltenham, Birmingham, Liverpool and Chester. Child ticket prices have been discounted and no booking fee is applicable to any fares.

TIPI & YURTS

Bearded Theory

Warm and snug on wet or windy nights and cool on hot summer afternoons, the tipis are made based on the Native American tradition from high quality materials and come complete with inner liner, full weather protection, groundsheet and matting.

A firm festival favourite, Tipis offer comfortable and roomy accommodation, so you can really make yourselves at home for the weekend. They are available in three different finishes so there’s something to suit couples, families, groups of friends and those who simply cannot live without their creature comforts!

2019 GATE OPENING/RE-ENTRY TIMES

Thursday – 9am until 9pm Friday & Saturday – 9am until 9pm
Sunday – 9am until 7pm

MONTHLY PAYMENT PLAN – (WHILE STOCKS LAST) AVAILABLE UNTIL DECEMBER 30TH, 2018

A monthly instalment payment plan is available on Early Bird and Adult Standard tickets whereby you pay £30 up front and the remaining balance is taken out monthly on the 30th of each month from January until April 2019.

Important note, especially if you are attempting to purchase an early bird ticket: you need to purchase your payment plan tickets separate to full price tickets at the time of purchase.

Age 12-15 tickets are also eligible for a payment plan with a £20 deposit and the remaining balance is taken out monthly from January until April 2019.
