EARTH AREA
The Earth Area, our tranquil crafts and healing space, is a beautiful area to discover, learn and grow, whether you’re a child or adult. You can easily spend a whole day in this area: Making new things, gaining new skills, speaking to crafts folk who make a living sharing their creations, gaining insight into their lives, or simply watching as others make and discuss beautiful things.
Immerse yourself in an assortment of craft workshops on pipe making, willow weaving, rustic carpentry, creating art from old records, psychedelic suncatchers, furniture & woodcraft, macrame & string crafts.
Join us to start your day gently with some yoga or learn about new paths towards wellness such as creating and embodying our own empowerment mantra, imagining and creating community, and immortalising our Bearded experience in poetry. Each year we have a cornucopia of healing practitioners, from tarot readings to shiatsu and from deep massage to reflexology. Let them ease your aches and pains whether emotional, physical or spiritual.
Our Earth Area is also home to our famous Bearded Theory beard stand-in-board where you can take a perfect picture with your Bearded family, as well as our fire pit – the perfect place to unwind and relax when the night beckons.

Escape to the Earth Area’s Sauna Box for a rejuvenating festival experience. Relax in our warm sauna, feel the ‘post-sauna glow,’ and connect with yourself and nature as you take a moment to step away from the festival buzz and find inner peace. Experience the heat of the wood fired Sauna, enjoy the cold plunge, and embrace the sense of community.
The perfect place to unwind as the nights draw in if you’re not one for the late night party festivities. Come and take a seat and see who you meet, with conversations a-plenty and a welcoming atmosphere under the starry night sky as the revellers dance in the distance…
Come and pose in our Bearded Theory beard stand-in-board for the perfect photo of you and your Bearded family! The beautiful hand carved sign is a stalwart of the festival and a photo in it is a rite of passage for any new Bearded-goer.
