The first batch of acts gracing Tornado Town at BT 2013 has been announced.
Maroon Town will be headlining the Town on the Friday night due to their reputation of tearing up audiences across the globe and being widely regarding as one of the best dance Ska bands on the circuit; this was evidenced by headlining Brixton Academy’s International Ska Festival earlier in the year. Joining them on stage will be Buster Shuffle following a hugely successful support tour with Dropkick Murphys, Left Step Band, Port Erin, John Robbs post punk outfit The Membranes, the town house band Boot Hill All Stars, Bootscraper, Bakseats featuring ex-The Sea front man Sam, Frenzy and Sunday Driver.
We are delighted that the Tornado Town team are returning for a second year following its huge success in its inaugural year. Tornado Town will be flowing out into the festival grounds and the space will include a Cocktail Hut, outdoor seating area, tree lights, site art and a garden.
2013 improvements will not only stop there with more toilets located in the live in vehicle fields, Main Stage better located, more showers, disabled camping located onto flatter ground, improved bar, Waters Edge stage being replaced, new Cabaret Tent located in the campsite and lovely new campsite cafe. We installed a permanent water supply into the campsites last year and plans are afoot to build another access road into the hall for large vehicles.
All the 2013 Early Bird Tickets have sold out and we are well on the way to having our earliest sell in our six year history.
