November news and line-up announcement

November 14, 2014 7:40 pm

Sorry for being a little quiet since our newsletter. We are a very small team and all of us have “proper jobs” and the chap that sorts out the Main Stage amongst other things decided to move house, get man flu and get a little tired but we are back on the throttle.

We have been working away on the Pallet line up and we are delighted with Sunday’s bill which has now been finalised however due to contract restrictions we cannot reveal Sundays headliner until December 1st. Friday we are still working on securing the final 2 acts which fall directly below the Mission and Saturday bar a couple of additions it remains work in progress.

Let’s get onto what we can announce!

In reverse order on the Sunday we are delighted to be welcoming punk legends BUZZCOCKS, pioneering reggae act MISTY IN ROOTS, ska heroes THE BEAT make a welcomed return to BT, dub legend MAD PROFESSOR will be joined by THE ROBOTIKS, folk bluegrass Bearded favourites PRONGHORN make a rare journey North, free festival heroes BACK TO THE PLANET make a return to the big stage and finalising the day will be up and coming reggae ska band NEW TOWN KINGS.

Saturday on the Pallet will welcome indie rockers BRITISH SEA POWER, young folk band SKINNY LISTER and finally Derby Blues act THREE MINUTE HEIST. Loads more to come including the headliner – have patience!

Friday welcomes Ska punk act THE SKINTS, punk rapper ITCH and psychedelic hiphop band DIZRAELI & THE SMALL GODS. 3 more to come.

Madame Gail has been busy programming her new chaotic Something Else Big Top stage.

Friday will be headlined by Radical Dance Faction and they will be joined by John Player Specials, Gaz Brookfield, Muff Said, Sweetchunks Band, Ash Victim and Ukulele Dave.

Saturday will be headed up by Inner Terrestrials (So far I don’t think Gail had got the grasp of this every other year thing but we shall continue), Tarantism :o/, Who Killed the Bear, Pure Evil, Demob, Muddy Summers & Gails Whores and Efa Supertramp.

Sunday will make a very long awaited return for AOS3 and they will be joined by Stuart Turner & the Flat Earth Society, Abdoujaparov (or thingy), Skewwhiff, Quercus Burlesque, Penny Orchids and Tez & the Suicidal Fish.

The Woodland will headlined on the Friday by American but now Dutch based ska reggae outfit JAYA THE CAT joining them on the Woodland will be The Leylines, Bill Smarme and Joe Zeffa. Plenty more to come for the Woodland also.
